National Vocations Awareness Week
National Vocations Awareness Week is this week November 5-11th 2023. The focus of the Diocesan Vocations Plan is on these four elements: Prayer, Education, Discernment, and Inspiration. This weekend we will project a vocations homily by Bishop Hanefeldt that is also available on the diocesan website and Facebook page. There is a bulletin insert with more information and a prayer intention for each day next week. I am especially mindful of praying for our parishioner Noah Huddleston who is a seminarian in Rome. Seminarian Prayer Cards are available in the Gathering Space.
Prayer for Vocational Discernment
Lord Jesus, you said to your disciples, "I am the way, the truth and the life." Give young people the gift of discernment, to find their way and embrace their true vocation, the life for which you have created them.
In all that lies before them, help them discern a life that is pleasing to you, whether to Christian marriage, to the priesthood, or the consecrated religious life. Send your Holy Spirit to inspire them. Grant them the grace to embrace a life of joyful service. Fulfill their desires to make a generous gift of themselves to others, after your example. Give them the loving support of family and friends as they prayerfully discern their vocation in this life.
We ask this through Christ, our Lord. Amen.

Light for the Way-
“I am the vine; you are the branches.”
This is the title our parishioner and artist Beth Jasnoch, gave to the devotional candle sculpture on the wall between the tabernacle and the image of Our Lady of Guadalupe. Our Art and Environment Committee commissioned her to create this for the parish. You are welcome to light devotional candles for your prayer intentions. La Semana Nacional de Concientización sobre las Vocaciones
La Semana Nacional de Concientización sobre las Vocaciones es esta semana del 5 al 11 de noviembre de 2023. El enfoque del Plan Diocesano de Vocaciones está en estos cuatro elementos: oración, educación, discernimiento e inspiración. Este fin de semana proyectaremos una homilía sobre vocaciones del obispo Hanefeldt que también está disponible en el sitio web diocesano y en la página de Facebook. Hay un boletín con más información y una intención de oración para cada día de la próxima semana. Estoy especialmente consciente de orar por nuestro feligrés Noah Huddleston, quien es seminarista en Roma. Tarjetas de oración para seminaristas están disponibles en el espacio de reunión.
Oración por el Discernimiento Vocacional
Señor Jesús, tú les dijiste a tus discípulos:
"Yo soy el camino, la verdad y la vida".
Da a los jóvenes el don del discernimiento,
para encontrar su camino y abrazar su verdadera
vocación, la vida para la que los has creado.
En todo lo que tienen ante sí, ayúdales a discernir una vida que es agradable a ti, ya sea al matrimonio cristiano, alel sacerdocio,o la vida religiosa consagrada. Envía tu Espíritu Santo para inspirarlos. Concédeles lagracia para abrazar una vida de servicio gozoso. Cumplir con su deseos de hacer un generoso don de sí mismos a los demás, después de su ejemplo. Dales el apoyo amoroso de familiares y amigos mientras disciernen su vocación en esta vida.
Pedimos esto a través de Cristo, nuestro Señor. Amén

Luz para el Camino –
“Yo soy la vida; ustedes son las ramas”.
Este es el título que nuestra feligresa y artista Beth Jasnoch, le dio a la escultura del cirio devocional en la pared entre el sagrario y la imagen de Nuestra Señora de Guadalupe. Nuestro Comité de Arte y Medio Ambiente le encargó crear esto para la parroquia.
