Sound & Media
Sound and Media lay ministers provide the means for the body of Christ to fully participate in the Mass and sacramental events of the church. Lay ministers operate microphones and speakers for Leaders, Proclaimers, and music ministry, as well as project songs and responsorial prayers onto the front screen. Sound and Media lay ministers are vital to Mass, First Holy Communion, Confirmation, and special events in the life of St. James.
All Sound and Media lay ministers will be trained and mentored until they are comfortable working the sound/media booth. One Sound and one Media lay minister will be assigned to each Mass on a monthly basis. The team system works well & provides support for everyone.
If you are interested in electronics, technology and serving St. James, the Sound and Media Lay Ministry may be just right for you!
