Retreat Opportunities

Teens Encounter Christ (TEC)

September 14-16, 2019 at St. James, Kearney
January 18-20, 2020 at Christ the King, Gering

Teens Encounter Christ (TEC) is a weekend experience designed especially for young people from Spring Semester Sophomores to seniors in High School and sponsored by the Diocese of Grand Island Office of Youth and Young Adult Ministry. The activities at TEC provide an enjoyable opportunity for young people to develop a better sense of self, to build positive relationships with others, and to grow closer to God. The weekend is based on solid, up-to-date theological and psychological principles. The testimony of thousands of young people who have participated in the program gives convincing evidence that TEC touches the participants deeply and has a positive influence on their value system. The registration fee is $85. I am hoping that we will be able to take a large group from St. James. We will keep you posted on transportation and scholarship opportunities. More details can also be accessed at www.gidiocese.org/yya. Registration is available on line or in a printed format.
