A group of senior parishioners that meet on the second Wednesday of every month beginning with a Mass at noon followed by a potluck dinner.

Lord, Teach Me to Pray (LTMP)

LTMP is a prayer series based on Ignatian Spirituality.  Part 1, "Praying Christian Virtues," helps deepen prayer life, and discover what to do for dryness and obstacles in prayer.  It also introduces the different methods of Ignatian prayer, meditation, and contemplation and Consciousness Examen.  A small group  meets with two trained facilitators for 1-2 hours once a week for 12 weeks, to pray and faith share.

St. James Couples in Christ

A marriage enrichment group to encounter the story of your love for each other in the bigger story of God’s love as revealed in the Bible, the flow of history, and church teaching.

The Watchmen

The men's group for the Catholic Community of Kearney will have sessions this Fall Semester on Tuesday evenings and Thursday mornings.

Women’s Study Group

Meets a week at church social hall. Fall 2016 meetings are Wednesday and Thursday mornings at 9:30 AM. Contact: Jean Ross 237-1564

Beloved
St James Couples for Christ will experience Beloved – a marriage enrichment program from formed.org. Encounter the story of your love for each other in the bigger story of God’s love as revealed in the Bible, the flow of history, and church teaching.

Beloved explores such topics as:
 God’s Plan for Marriage
 The Truth about Love
 Physical, Emotional, and Spiritual Intimacy
 Living Out the Sacrament of Marriage
 Conflict, Healing, and Forgiveness
 Protecting the Bonds of Your Marriage
Using time-tested tools and teaching from leading experts, Beloved provides you with lively video presentations and a personal guide for you to use as a couple.

St. James will accept donations for area flood relief.  You can make a donation in the collection or at the office. We will distribute all donations to local organizations and individuals effected by the flood in our area. A second collection will be taken the weekend of August 3-4.

Some other organizations where you can make donations: The Jubilee Center, Gibbon Area Flood relief, Gibbon Fire Department, The Kearney Community Foundation, Hot Meals USA, The Red Cross, and The Salvation Army.
