Music Ministries

                         Music Ministry

Music Ministry at St. James provides leadership for the music during weekend Masses, weddings, funerals, feast days, and other special celebrations.  The vocal and instrumental musicians lead the assembly in worship through music.  You, the people gathered, are to be those who provide the main music during the liturgy.

One of the best things about leading music at St. James is that those gathered know how to sing.  There isn’t anything better than backing away from the microphone and listening to the beautiful gift of music as our Church sings.  We are so blessed!

So, what is expected of those involved with music ministry at St. James?  We expect all musicians to come prepared for the liturgy.  Musicians are asked to attend practices during the week and on weekends.  It does help if you have a musical interest and background, but it isn’t necessary to be a trained musician.

Come join our ministry!
