Quid Agis - What's Happening

Quid Agis - What’s Happening

Even though it is the middle of summer and one would think things would be slow over at St. James, the opposite is true for July. Take note that the celebration of the feast of St. James will commence on Saturday, July 22 with a picnic in the Parish Hall from 6 PM to 8 PM. On Sunday, July 23 the Knights of Columbus will be hosting their fifth Sunday breakfast a week early in honor of the feast of St. James. They will be serving until about 2:00 PM. Please plan to attend these events.

“Each week in the bulletin there is a special quote under “Catholic Social Teaching” that we all should read and reflect upon. There is a Spanish mass every second Sunday of the month at 12:15 PM. Keep in mind that during the summer there is the usual shortage of various lay ministers. Please check the monthly schedule and call Candi if you can fill in.

There will be a demonstration of the hearing loop by Tessa Mannlein in the sanctuary on Tuesday, July 18 starting at 6:30 PM. All that have a hearing impairment with the potential utilization of the hearing loop, are encouraged to attend to make their experience at St. James more meaningful.

There will be a webinar hosted by RENEW International on Wednesday, July 19 beginning at 7:00 PM in the Social Hall. All interested individuals are encouraged to attend.

Stay cool these hot July days and drink plenty of fluids.
