Quid Agis - What's Happening

Quid Agis - What’s Happening

As the “dog days of summer” are upon us, there are multiple activities to participate in. On Saturday, June 24, the Social Committee presents the movie Sing which will be shown at dawn on the east side of Cope Coliseum. Prior to this there will be games and other activities which begin at 7:00 PM. On Sunday, June 25, the Buffalo County Community Partners will be having their annual “Block Party” at Harmon Park from 3 to 5 PM. There will be games and activities at the park and lemonade. Donations will go to programs aimed to help improve the health of the community.

If you have a child/children who will be participating in Religious Education in the upcoming year, you are encouraged to register as soon as possible so that we can have an accurate count for the school year. As I had noted before, the summer months are difficult for Candi to schedule for our various Ministries. If you know that you will be gone, let us know. If you have a weekend where you would be available, let Candi know as soon as possible.

If volunteering is on your agenda for this summer, Mount Caramel Home is in need of individuals to help with various activities for the residents. Except for a desire to help in caring for the elderly, no special talent is required.

Mission Statement

St. James parish is established to be a sign of the presence of the Kingdom of God, to spread the Good News of the Gospel and to minister and serve others. As Catholics we believe in Jesus' dying and rising and in our call to celebrate the Sacraments and proclaim the Gospel.
