Quid Agis - What's Happening

Quid Agis - What’s Happening

Pentecost is June 3-4. We are all encouraged to wear red in honor of Pentecost this weekend. The feast of Pentecost transitions us from the Easter season into Ordinary Time. There will be a transition from the white vestments to the green vestments symbolizing Ordinary Time.

Please take note that on June 24 there will be an outdoor movie, Sing, shown on the east side of KCHS at dusk courtesy of the Social Committee. This will be preceded by a games and festivities which will begin at 7 o’clock in the evening. Great family fun. Hope all can attend.

June marks the time when there is a significant increase in the celebration of the sacrament of Marriage. It doesn’t seem possible that it will be 36 years for Deb and I. Our current church building was only one year old when we were married by Fr. Chamberlain. And it was only 104 degrees outside!

In closing, I do want to remind everyone that we are having “clean up” issues within the church. There is gum on the carpet and sticky candy on the carpet and seats necessitating a professional cleaner to resolve the issue. Taking grandchildren to mass ourselves, I do realize that having some snacks for the little ones can be a necessity but I ask that we leave candy, suckers and gum at home. This would help the cleanup of the church after services and meetings significantly easier. Thank you.
