Lenten Prayers and Activities

 Operation Rice Bowl— your donations support Catholic Relief Service programs around the world and local hunger and poverty in our diocese. During Lent, use your Rice Bowl for your offerings to help our brothers and sisters in need. Available in the Gathering Space.

 Lenten Lunches— Beginning March 8th, every Friday at 12 noon, thru April 19th. Held at First United Methodist Church (4500 Linden Dr). An area Church will provide lunch and music. The theme this year will be “Connecting the Fruits of the Spirit in persons lives with the Cross of Christ”. On March 29th, St. James will provide the speaker, food and music. The cost is $5 per person.

 Stations of the Cross—Every Friday (except Good Friday) starting on March 8th. Times at St. James Church are: 5:30 p.m. English, and 6:30 p.m. Espanol. 

 Free Reading material—The Lenten Word Among Us and The Little Black Book, in the Gathering Space.

The Central Nebraska Respect Life Conference will take place on Saturday, April 6, at the Younes Convention Center in Kearney, NE.  Registration starts at 9:30 am and the conference will end at 2:00 pm. Cost for Adults is $20 and includes lunch; high school and college age students are free. The theme for the conference is “Unlocking the Truth about Contraception and Women’s Health” and is age appropriate for juniors in high school and older. Seating is limited, so early registration is encouraged. Deadline for registration is April 2, 2019.
