High School Pilgrimage

High School Pilgrimage: This year ’s church pilgrimage will be to parishes in the Lincoln area. Please join us for a day filled with prayer, food and exploration of different Catholic churches. We will be gathering on Tuesday, June 25th at Prince of Peace and beginning the day with Mass at 7:15a.m. We will return to Kearney about 8:00 p.m. We will provide food for the day. Middle School Day of Service

Middle School Day of Service: Students will gather at St. James on Monday, July 1st from 9:00 a.m.—2:00 p.m. for activities and lunch. We will then walk to the Jubilee Center to learn about their services and help in whatever way needed. Please bring an item to donate. Peter’s Pence Collection

Next weekend, June 29-30, we will take up the Peter’s Pence Collection, which provides Pope Francis with the funds he needs to carry out his charitable works around the world. The proceeds benefit our brothers and sisters on the margins of society, including victims of war, oppression, and natural disasters. Please be generous. KoC 5th Sunday Breakfast

The Knights of Columbus will be having their 5th Sunday Breakfast on Sunday, June 30th. They will be serving from 8:00 a.m. to 12 noon in the Parish Hall. Free-will donations will go to the youth from St. James and Prince of Peace, who are going to the National Catholic Youth Conference (NCYC) in Indianapolis in November 2019.  continue reading

Health Ministry: Skin cancer is the most common cancer in America and is the most preventable and treatable when caught early. Stop by the Social Hall after both Masses on Sunday, June 23rd to receive a free screening and information about prevention and treatment.  continue reading
