    What do Adam and Eve, Moses, David, Jesus and the Apostles have to do with my life? Come join Mary for a book study beginning Tuesday, April 30th and every Tuesday through May 21st (4 nights) at 6:30 p.m. The book is entitled “The Real Story” by Edward Sri and Curtis Martin.     Interfaith Memorial Service

    An Interfaith Memorial Service honoring infants who have died during pregnancy will be Sunday, June 2nd at 3:00 p.m. The Service will be held near Babyland on the East side of the Kearney Cemetery at the Good Samaritan Hospital Memorial site. CHI Health Good Samaritan with be remembering all of God’s children regardless of their span of life in days, weeks or months.

    Widows Coffee. A support group for widows of all ages will be the taking place on the first Monday of each month. The next coffee is Monday, May 6th at 10:00 a.m. in the Social Hall. We welcome all ladies to share their experiences and questions. We will help each other deal with the day-to-day challenges of our new status and together find ways to handle them to make our lives easier. Please come to share, whether it has been many years or a new experience. Coffee and refreshments will be offered.     World Environment Day is Wednesday, June 5th. Join the Catholic Social Teaching Group at 9:30 a.m. at the Kearney Area Recycling Center , located at 3007 East 39th Street. We will learn how our recyclables are sorted and how WE can make a difference by choosing to recycle. The tour lasts approximately 50 minutes.     Adoration Opportunity for Moms at Prince of Peace

    A new mother's group plans to meet for Eucharistic Adoration the 1st and 3rd Thursday of each month at Prince of Peace. Moms and kids will meet at the St. Maximilian classroom in the lower level of the church. Half of the moms will head upstairs to pray in the chapel from 9:30-0:00 am, while the other half watches the children. After 30 minutes, the moms will switch and the group doing childcare first will participate in Adoration for about 30 minutes. If interested, please contact Emily Brachle at 402-305-2823 or ebrachle@gmail.com. The  Adoration dates for December are the 6th and 20th.

    National Catholic Youth Conference (NCYC)

    We have 8 Kearney area youth currently preparing to attend the National Catholic Youth Conference (NCYC) in Indianapolis this November. We will be holding a “Donuts for Dollars” Fundraiser to help us get there. This will be held at Prince of Peace on June 8-9 and St. James on June 15- 16. Please help support these high school students on their pilgrimage by joining us for donuts following the Masses on those weekends and keeping them in your prayers.
