The Easter season is winding down. Next Sunday, May 21, will be the sixth Sunday after Easter. May 28 will be the seventh and final Sunday of Easter. This will lead to Pentecost Sunday on June 4. Note that Ascension Thursday is coming up on May 25. Masses on Ascension Thursday will be at 7 AM and 6 PM. Note that there are only two services that day. This year marks the third year of the three-year Capital Campaign. It was mentioned during the Finance Committee update to the parish last fall that there is anticipated to be a shortfall to cover the remaining costs of the renovation project at the end of the year. The Finance Committee and the Parish Council have advised that the Capital Campaign be extended. Upon entering the Gathering Space early Easter Monday I was met with the fragrance of the Easter flowers that adorned the church. It immediately reminded me of springtime and the renewal of not only nature but also renewal of our Catholic faith. As has been noted, it has been one year since we had the honor of moving back into our renovated church.
