Family Fun Picnic at the Park

Family Fun Picnic at the Park:  All are welcome to join in for food, fellowship, and family time at Harvey Park following the 10:30 AM mass on Sunday, July 2nd, weather permitting.  Bring your own food, drinks, and outdoor games to get to know other while enjoying time as a family.  Meet around the sheltered tables west side of fields, just north of playground area.

Delving Deeper Into Sacred Scripture

On July 14-15, 2017, Sharon Doran, M.A., the teaching director of Seeking Truth Catholic Bible Study, Omaha will speak at St. Benedict Center on the topic of Delving Deeper Into Sacred Scripture.  The program begins on Friday, 7:30 PM and closes on Saturday with a mass at 4:00 PM.  Sign up at www.StBenedictCenter.com or call St. Benedict Center at 402-352-8819.

Organizing Small Groups - Social Hall

Middle School Summer Retreat

Middle School Summer Retreat - All 6th-8th Graders!  Join us for a day of community as we learn, pray, and play with youth from both parishes.  The retreat will be on Friday July 14th from 9:00 AM - 5:00 PM in the St. James Parish Hall.  Registration is required.  Call Katie at the Parish Office.

Youth Ministry Summer Event: Fun at the Park

St. James and Prince of Peace Youth Ministry Summer Event: Fun at the Park on Thursday, June 22nd from 4:00-9:00 PM at Yanney Park.  Gather for games, splash pad, fishing and fellowship.  A picnic will be provided near the amphitheater then enjoy the "Little Mermaid" at 7:00 PM.  Please bring chairs or blankets for the show.  (Adult sponsors will be on site but most of the time, in the afternoon will be free time at the park)

Social Committee Hosting Movie Night - "SING"

St. James Social Committee presents, "SING."  Inviting all St. James parishioners to get together for a night of community fun on Saturday, June 24th.  We will gather on the lawn of Kearney Catholic, just east of the Cope Coliseum, at 7:00 PM for yard games.  The movie will follow at dusk.  Please bring lawn chairs, blankets, yard games, and your favorite movie snack(s).  All "School Zone" rules apply! "SING" is rated PG.  continue reading
